What do women spend on looking good each month? Liz, a financial public-relations executive who prefers not to give her last name, says she spends a lot less since she had a baby eight months ago, but she guesses it's up to $3,000. That includes at least one massage ($500-$700), pedicure and manicure ($500), hair cut ($1,200 every two months) and waxing ($500 every six weeks). Sometimes she'll have an express massage ($300), but has cut facials to every few months. Amy Ho, a communications officer for Estee Lauder, says her spending includes facials twice a week ($600), one detox massage ($350), fortnightly massages ($550), a manicure every three weeks $120 and a haircut ($750) every six weeks. Bonnie Wong, a swimwear product manager, says she spends anything from $80 to $1,000 a month on makeup. 'I like to try the newest colours and textures, especially lip glosses and foundations,' she says. 'Finding the perfect foundation is impossible. I end up having a lot of barely used foundations at home.' She also spends up to $2,000 a month on creams. 'I have different creams as part of my regimen. I use at least three face creams alternately, depending on what my skin needs.' Wong also spends up to $1,300 on weekly massages.
