Of course Do Do loves her name

After running the story on actress Do Do Cheng Yu-ling last week, CitySeen received a couple of queries about her name.

One reader asked why she doesn't go by her given English name, Carol, while yet another wanted to know whether Cheng herself knew the other meanings of Do Do. (One the name of an extinct bird, and the other, something not nice to call someone) To answer your questions, CitySeen asked Cheng how she got her nickname.

'For as long as I remember, I've been known as Do Do,' says Cheng, 'My mum used to call me that and it's stayed with me until now. I really like being called Do Do and prefer it over Carol.'

When CitySeen asked if the other connotations of her name bothered her, she replied, 'Of course not, I love my name.'
