Updated at 5.00pm: Twenty-four motorbikes were burnt in a suspected arson case at Sha Tin overnight on Thursday, local media reported. The incident began when a motorbike, parked under a flyover on Tai Chung Kiu Road, caught fire around 2am on Thursday. The flames then spread and burnt the 24 motorbikes nearby. Firemen extinguished the blaze early on Thursday. It is believed the fire was probably started deliberately, though it is still not clear why the bikes were targeted. Police on Thursday afternoon were investigating the fire. According to local media reports, police are attempting to contact the motorbike owners. Further details were not yet available.
