Nokia brought party-goers to their senses at the launch of the Nokia 8800 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre earlier this month.

The party, called Designed for the Senses, started with a bang when Nokia Hong Kong general manager Bruce Lam Kwok-shing drove onto the stage in a silver Porsche convertible.

Five local celebrities were presented with a Senses award for excellence in their field.

They were: music conductor and director of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta Yip Wing-sze; film star, and new father Simon Yam Tat-wah; watch and jewellery entrepreneur Christie Wu Man-shan; Taiwanese movie star Chang Chen; and actress Rosamund Kwan Chi-lam. Guests mingled as waiters dressed in black circulated with platters of food and kept the champagne flowing.

Other guests include Christine Ng Wing-mei, Tricia Chen Kin-fei, Kam Kwok-leung, Cara Chen Siu-wan, Stephen Ngan Fuk-wai, Arthur Lam, and Emme Wong Yi-man.
