A whitening mask with Vitamin C will help stop the production of melanin, resulting in a light, radiant complexion.

Biotherm White Detox C Extra Tissue Mask (5pcs/ $270)

It is moisturising but the whitening effect is not obvious. The mask fits most faces but absorbs slowly into  skin.

Fancl White Mask (3pcs/ $85)

Gives skin an instant glow  but the paper masks are too small  for most  faces.

Lancome Blanc Expert Mela-NO Cx (6pcs/ $480)

The whitening effect is immediately noticeable and it leaves skin  smooth. Use it before  going to bed and apply moisturiser afterwards.

Biotherm White Detox C Extra Peel-off Mask (50ml/ $270)

The thick, gluey mask keeps skin clear and  reduces blemishes, but is slightly dry. Although its  lightening results weren't immediately apparent,  it resulted in an even skin tone the next morning. The mask is a bit hard to apply.

Boots Botanics Instant Whitening Mask (5 tubes/ $150)

Slightly lightened skin was revealed  after rinsing. Helps to exfoliate dead skin cells and also moisturise. Has a soft and smooth texture and a pleasant scent.

Neutrogena Deep Whitening Mask (5pcs/  $160)

The paper masks contain vitamin C and are gentle enough for all skin types. It leaves skin hydrated and feeling fresh. But don't expect  an immediate whitening effect.
