October 7 - November 6 Macau International Music Festival Artists from around the world will perform in Macau's historic buildings, as well as the Cultural Centre and Macau Tower auditoriums. October 29 - November 6 4th East Asian Games Macau 2005 Athletes will compete for 690 medals in 17 events, including track and field, rowing, swimming, soccer, gymnastics, dragon boat racing, wushu, tennis, weightlifting, taekwondo, field hockey, bowling, tennis, karate and basketball. November 11-27 Macau Food Festival Part of the autumn celebrations, straddling both the go-kart racing and the Grand Prix. November 17-20 The Macau Grand Prix The world's only street circuit race with both car and motorcycle events. New events include the Macau Asian Motocross Championships and the Macau Asian Karting Championships, Food Festival, Grand Prix Carnival and fireworks. December 4 Macau International Marathon, Half Marathon and Mini Marathon An event to develop local sports, raise the level of marathon running and strengthen friendships with people from different parts of the world, while contributing to the promotion of tourism in Macau. December 20 Macau SAR Establishment Day Marked by flag-raising ceremony in Lotus Square, followed by a series of events and ending with a spectacular fireworks display.
