Mongolian bodybuilder D. Zolaya surveys his opposition during last night's East Asian Championships at Queen Elizabeth Stadium. The star of the night for local fans was Lo Kit-ming, who won the women's bantamweight title and then said she was looking forward to next month's world championships in Germany.
Lo, a multiple Hong Kong champion, displayed superb muscle definition and symmetry packed in a diminutive frame to beat Shanghai's Xu Qihua for the gold medal as the SAR tasted success in the tourney, which was making its debut.
Lo was happy with her win - for the smallest and lightest of the night's categories.
'My next goal is the world championships in Germany [Duisburg] and I hope to do well in that competition as well. Overall my preparations for this contest had gone smoothly and I am happy to have won,' said the champion bodybuilder, who won the 49kg title.
