Cartoonist Lai Tat Tat Wing says regular mental housekeeping is necessary to keep your imagination at its richest.
It was this advice that he first heard from a friend that motivated his latest exhibition, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star of Lai Tat Tat Wing Original Comic Exhibition.
'A friend told me that things have to be given up so that better things can come. If you don't throw things away, there will be no room to accommodate better ideas. I have learned how to let go,' said Lai.
His exhibition of drafts, sketches and discarded and unpublished drawings charts the creative process involved in the production of his most recent comic book, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Lai has been experimenting with unusual visuals and story-telling techniques for 10 years.
His latest book, due for publication next month by the Hong Kong Arts Centre and bookshop/publisher Kubrick, is a kung fu fantasy.
