Maid hurt by debris from falling window frame

An Indonesian maid was hurt by debris from a falling window frame in Mid-Levels last night. Police took away a 70-year-old man from a flat in Lyttelton Garden in Lyttelton Road for questioning and released him later on $1,000 bail. The window was said to have collapsed as the man opened it shortly after 7.30pm.

three arrested on lamma over marijuana seizure

A British couple and a Hong Kong woman were arrested on Lamma after police raided a stone hut in Yung Shue Wan and seized 400g of marijuana, worth $40,000. The 37-year-old Hong Kong woman was arrested for possession, while the couple, a 64-year-old man and his wife, 59, were arrested for possession and trafficking.

Man found bludgeoned to death inside hut

A man was found bludgeoned to death in a hut in Lok Ma Chau yesterday. The man, thought to be a mainland visitor aged about 40, was found in the tin-sheet structure in Shek Wu Wai San Tsuen off Shek Wu Wai Road with head injuries. A bloodstained hammer was found outside.
