Donald Tsang Yam-kuen confessed last night to having been 'very touched' when President Hu Jintao told him in Beijing last month not to change his style. 'The president asked me not to change my style. That was a very big encouragement to me,' the chief executive said in an interview with CCTV. It was in marked contrast with his former boss' encounter with Mr Hu in Macau last December, when the president told Tung Chee-hwa he needed to do better. Mr Tsang said he was grateful Beijing supported his policy direction of introducing a people-based administration. 'The president and Premier [Wen Jiabao ] accepted me, they supported me. This is a real implementation of the 'one country, two systems' principle. I am very touched,' he said.
