Business suits and rock 'n' roll are a strange combination, but the way members of rock bands have been dressing recently indicates suits are becoming hip. Leading the way are Band of Outsiders, dubbed the latest must-haves in men's fashion by Esquire and GQ magazines. Based in Los Angeles and created by celebrity agent turned designer Scott Stern-berg, the line features tailored suits with a vintage feel. The brand is known for its slim ties (below; from US$105 to US$175) constructed from salvaged silk fabrics from the 1960s and 70s, while the woven cotton shirts (also below; from US$180 to US$295) are perfect for lanky fellows who want to look presentable while maintaining their street cred. The line is available at Barneys New York and Japan. For further information, visit bandofoutsiders.com.
