Shopping mall strikes a chord with amateur musicians
Enthusiastic amateur musicians are being invited to perform on stage in front of an audience to share their passion for music in a programme launched by Harbour City shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Since 2001, Harbour City has been running a two-hour show called Music in the City every Saturday and Sunday. Rather than inviting pop stars to give grand performances, it
focuses on introducing new and enthusiastic artists and musicians to the public.
This year, the mall wants to involve more people who like to play music to join the programme and give public performances.
A spokeswoman for Harbour City said Music in the City aimed to give those who love music a chance to showcase their talents in public.
It is hoped that these performers will become popular stars one day.
