Work seems to be so overwhelming for singer Miriam Yeung Chin-wah that she needs someone to put her life back on track.
'My friends know me better than I know myself,' the 31-year- old said. 'I need other people to remind me about things I've been neglecting.'
Among those friends are singer-songwriter Chet Lam Yat-fung, who won the 2003 Golden Horse Best Original Film Song Award for Turn Right, Turn Left. The two friends will perform together on August 3 at the Hong Kong Exhibition and Convention Centre.
'[Lam] said he'd written a song for me called To the Happiest Person, which was sung by Gigi Leung [Wing-kei],' Yeung said. 'He told me to listen to the lyrics. I think he wanted the song to remind me to be a happy person. I was so touched.'
To make their first musical collaboration more interesting, Yeung and Lam will be swapping genders for the evening. She said this theme would be reflected in the show's setting
and costumes.
