Fifteen STUDENTS from the University of Cambridge are in Hong Kong to give English lessons to primary and secondary pupils for the summer.
The young foreigners say they are surprised to find so many things in common between western and eastern cultures.
The university students are taking part in the Cosmopolitan Youth 2005 programme, which is jointly organised by the Oxbridge Cultural Exchange Programme and Wofoo Social Enterprises.
Twenty-one students from Hong Kong are joining the overseas students as volunteer teachers in three primary schools and two secondary schools.
The students are from the Hong Kong Baptist University, City University of Hong Kong and the University of Hong Kong's School of Professional and Continuing Education.
The student-teachers run one-or two-week courses in each school, benefiting about 600 students in total.
