Rugby fans were treated to a fun-filled evening at the Island Shangri-La hotel on June 20. Standard Chartered Bank, the British Chamber of Commerce and Cathay Pacific put together a fabulous night, with guest speakers Martin Bayfield, Phil Bennett, Chris 'Buddha' Handy and Justin Sampson discussing the merits - or otherwise - of the British Lions and the All Blacks, who were playing in New Zealand at the time. Former All Black captain Sean Fitzpatrick led the Breakthrough Rugby boys in a performance of the haka, which was received with a standing ovation. An auction and raffle raised $500,000 for Standard Chartered's charity, Seeing is Believing, as well as Breakthrough Rugby. Standard Chartered Hong Kong chief executive and former Wallaby captain Peter Sullivan again came face to face with his 1970s onfield nemesis: Bennett. Other guests included New Zealand Consul-General Frank Wilson, Brigadier Christopher Hammerbeck, James Riley, James Barrington, British Chamber of Commerce chairman Christopher Page and Andrew Bester.
