Awe of the jungle
A cocktail party marked the launch of the Mercedes-Benz M-Class sports utility vehicle at Isola Bar and Grill. The restaurant at IFC Mall was transformed into a jungle for the night as loyal Mercedes-Benz customers and local celebrities were invited to the exclusive preview of the vehicle.
Organisers went to great lengths to give the party an air of mystery. Not only did guests have to meander through a dark tunnel draped with wild vines to the sound of animals in the background, but the stage was built to give the SUV a grand entrance at the unveiling.
Some partygoers sipped champagne as they mingled on the patio, while others crowded around the food stands.
While guests were enjoying the fantastic view of the Victoria Harbour, the long-awaited unveiling finally began. As the covers were raised to reveal the SUV, dancers performed a tribal routine around the car. Guests were then invited to pose for photos with the vehicle.
Among the guests were Pansy Ho Chiu-king, Yumiko Kuok, Yvette Yuen Wing Man-wai, Anson Chan Yiu-cheung, Michelle Cheng Sze-wan, Alan Chan Yau-kin, Kam Kwok-leung, Elaine Lee Yi-lam, Abba Chan Tat-chee, Fiona Yuen Choi-wan and Sheila Chan Suk-lan.
