'I have two lives at the moment. One is in Los Angeles taking care of my baby and the other is in Hong Kong. When I'm here I revert to my old routine. I've been back 10 days after nearly two months in the United States.
Leah Norma Ehrlich was born in early May and hasn't been to Hong Kong yet. I haven't worked out what my routine will be once the baby is here.
In the US we slept when the baby did. Craig [Ehrlich] and I worked out this was the most time-efficient way for us to care for her at night. She wants feeding at 3am, then again at 5am. She wakes up at about 8am when I'll feed her again and clean her. After that she's happy. She likes to play and make a lot of noise. I'm amazed how much she gesticulates with her arms; she waves all the time.
Leah and Craig are at our home in the US. I'm going back to relieve him because he has to do some business in Europe. When he gets back to the US, I'll return to Hong Kong. By September 1, hopefully everybody will be back at home on MacDonnell Road.
Craig and I have a very stable relationship of seven years. My sister, who is just about to have a baby, is here and I love my brother-in-law. I'd like to see my parents more often, but I really like the life I have.
I am an early riser, up at 6am. I make a cup of tea and call the US. I'm a huge Chinese tea drinker. I don't drink coffee except for a single espresso when I'm eating Italian food at lunchtime.
