RECYCLED PUPPET SHOW Spain's The El Retablo Puppet Theatre is performing in Hong Kong as part of the International Arts Carnival. The puppet show, titled Animals, promises to be a hit with all ages. With their stories, music, poetry and more, Retablo is renowned for dazzling audiences around the world. Toys, animated objects and puppets made of recycled materials and daily utensils are used to create an animal fantasy world. The performance will be staged from tomorrow until Sunday, at 7.30pm, with weekend matinees at 3pm, at Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre Cultural Activities Hall. PHILOSOPHICAL PLAY ON A TRAIN The Fringe Club is hosting A Futilitarian Play from Thursday to Saturday at 7.30pm. Performed by undergraduates from the University of Hong Kong, the play is set on a train. It takes a philosophical look at the very different lives of the travellers. Happiness, anger, sorrow and delight are explored through relationships between the people on the train. The drama is in Cantonese.
