IRISH champion Mick Kinane had two sessions with a physiotherapist yesterday and the odds now favour him riding at Happy Valley tomorrow night.

The ligament trouble caused by his fall from Third Time Lucky at Sha Tin on Saturday has eased considerably but he said last night: ''I think it really depends on how things go throughout tomorrow.

''I am feeling a lot better today than I was on Sunday so continued natural improvement and more treatment should see me all right.

''But I equally can't say that it is definite that I will ride on Wednesday.'' Melbourne Cup hero Kinane rides Red Ruffian in the Happy Valley Trophy, first leg of the Sprint Championship, and was yesterday declared for a total of four rides.

But Saturday's Sha Tin fixture and his flight to America for his engagement on the Dermot Weld-trained Market Booster in the Yellow Ribbon Stakes at Santa Anita look like going ahead.

''I have a number of rides at Sha Tin on Saturday. I certainly don't want to miss Wednesday's meeting but I also want to be in the physical shape necessary to do them justice,'' he added.
