Calyon is part of the Credit Agricole Group, and was created in May last year from the merger between Credit Agricole Indosuez and Credit Lyonnais' corporate and investment banking division.

'The new VP in our specialised finance team will have the responsibility for new transactions, in co-ordination with our senior bankers, in the telecom and media finance sector and/or for leveraged and acquisition finance opportunities. He or she will execute mandates independently throughout the Asia-Pacific region and will liaise with other regional business lines, local units and head office departments,' said Phyllis Cheung of the human resources department.

The company is looking for someone who is an effective team player and can guide and lead analysts.

'This position basically involves a great deal of teamwork and interaction with different departments in the bank and transaction structuring for clients around the region,' Ms Cheung said.
