Olympus Mju: 800: The latest model of Olympus' weatherproof Mju series pushes image quality to 8 megapixels and introduces what the company calls 'bright capture technology', which enhances images taken in low lighting conditions. Like most new models, the Mju: 800 comes with a 6cm HyperCrystal LCD - which promises better viewing under all lighting conditions - and all the essential features you'd expect from the latest digital cameras. (Price: $3,780)
Lenovo ET960: Lenovo, the mobile phone brand of China's Legend Computer, has released its first PDA phone. The tri-band ET960 runs on Windows Mobile 2003 SE and a 312MHz Intel processor. It comes equipped with an MP3 player, media player and a 1.3 megapixel digital camera that can revolve 180 degrees. Compared to the latest PDA phones with Wi-Fi connectivity and mini-keyboards - which the ET960 lacks - it is slightly behind the times, although it does come in a distinct and sleek design. (Price $4,520)
Truly MP301: Truly has released a challenger to the Apple iPod mini with the MP301, which measures only 63mm x 47mm. Despite its diminutive size, it has much to offer: a 4.5cm colour LCD, MP3 player, photo browser, radio, audio recorder, text reader, and three puzzle games. On the downside, it has only 256MB of storage and no expansion slot. However, fashion conscious people will appreciate the fact that it comes in six different colours.
