Japanese sports brand Asics has become a favourite of sportsmen since its launch more than 50 years ago. This month, the brand will release its Onitsuka Tiger line of trainers. The cult shoes, generally worn off the court, have attracted followers around the world, including celebrities such as Charlize Theron (who wears a pair in Aeon Flux) as well as fashion-conscious runners, basketball and volleyball players. The trainers come in bold colours and carry the signature Tiger stripes. Priced between $800 and $900, they are available at Lane Crawford (IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2118 3388), On Pedder (Central, tel: 2118 3489) and Pedder Red (Times Square, Causeway Bay, tel: 2118 3581).
