Hang Fung Gold Technology has joined China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Corp to begin selling Harry Potter watches and stationery in China next month.

The jewellery firm has signed a two-year contract with Warner Brothers, the Harry Potter movie producers, to design, manufacture and distribute jewellery and timepieces. 'We expect the new products to generate several hundred million dollars worth of sales a year in China,' said Lam Sai-wing, left, chairman of Hang Fung Gold Technology.

CNPIEC assistant president Liang Jianrui, right, said the latest book would have a first-edition print run of one million copies in China.
