Experienced IT infrastructure general managers looking to relocate to Shanghai and who enjoy frequent travel will not want to miss the opportunity to apply for a vacancy with Internet Gaming Entertainment (IGE). The successful candidate will be based in Shanghai, but will be expected to travel regularly to the company's offices in Hong Kong and Los Angeles, and will be responsible primarily for managing infrastructure services at IGE, as well as building, leading, coaching and directing the IT support teams in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Los Angeles. Other responsibilities include attending regular meetings on projects with the security and corporate systems development teams to ensure new products and application upgrades are communicated, and to provide and solicit the service and support for these groups as required. The general manager would also need to staff and monitor the progress of corporate-wide infrastructure-related initiatives such as global active directory, exchange, internal messaging and conferencing, the World Wide Web, WAN, LAN and hosting facilities. As a leader, the new recruit will need to develop, track and report on infrastructure delivery performance metrics and targets, and develop and implement employee training. He or she will also be required to develop strategies to align skills and practices with company standards and strategy. Applicants will need to demonstrate a proven ability in monitoring and managing the many aspects of IT infrastructure team management, including personnel, finance and hardware. A relevant university degree or technical diploma and a minimum of five years' management experience are prerequisites. Experience in publicly listed companies is preferred, as is solid experience in implementing quality guidelines, standards and procedures. Candidates must also have customer service experience and the ability and drive to establish a culture of service management. The job comes with a heavy workload, and the ability to multitask efficiently is essential. Strong leadership qualities are vital as the new general manager will also need to be able to effectively lead teams in multiple locations. Fluency in written and spoken English is required, and fluency in Putonghua is preferred.
