Where can I get waxing for men?  I'm not sure how else to put it, but I'm looking for a 'back, crack and sack' wax.

The Dictator rules: How delicately put. I don't suppose you'd believe me when I say men should enjoy not being subjected to the same torturous beauty  treatments as women?  I'm still blushing from the embarrassing research I had to conduct on your behalf.  Although many spas such as  Mence do specialise in men's treatments and even do back waxing, few go all the way. Since this is going to hurt, do it in style  somewhere like Pure Spa (4/F,  IFC Mall, Central, tel: 2970 3366),

which offers the men's 'Brazilian' ($520) and back and shoulder waxing ($450). You could also try Beaute par Zai  (suite 901, 74 Queen's Road Central, tel: 2524 1272), where they'll do a men's Brazilian for $1,500 and back for $800. They'll even throw in a free oxygen treatment, which is supposed to reduce pain levels and improve healing. Sounds like fun.

I'm looking for those espadrille wedges that are so  fashionable, but with covered toes since I don't like my feet. Where  can I find them? I really have tried.

The Dictator: Yes, you do seem to try very hard. Never mind it's taken you about four months to catch on and summer is  virtually over. For a versatile pair,  head to Pedder Red (shop 2345, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, tel: 2118 0130),  which has some topped with chocolate brown or gold woven leather  and  rope heels. If you liked  the metallic gold linen used in many spring/summer  collections, you'll love the reasonable wedges at Fiorucci  ($798; 505 Lockhart Road, Causeway Bay, tel: 2834 1676).  It also has ones with sequins ($698)  and  leather and wood versions ($1,118). If print is your thing,  go to Vivienne Tam (shop 2095, IFC Mall,  tel: 2868 9268), where you'll find them with  Chinese motifs in purple or green.   Given your track record, the shoes  could be gone by the time you  reach the shops. Don't worry: designers will  show next year's spring/summer lines  soon.

I've had a  bad waxing experience and am looking for something to soothe the rash. What do you recommend?

The Dictator: That's not a good start for  a waxing newcomer. Regular moisturising, a pre-wax exfoliation and an expert waxer  are all important for good results, but if you have sensitive skin, some sort of temporary reaction is inevitable. This is the price of beauty.  Tend Skin is a popular waxing- and shaving-rash ointment.   It can be ordered directly from the company through www.tendskin. com  from $156, but shipping from the  United States via registered mail  costs about $172 (yes, that's more than the product). Alternatively,  order it through www.essentialday spa.com, which sells it for $160.60  plus shipping.  Soothing Repair Ointment by Peter Thomas Roth ($383; Frederique Spa, 4/F, 19 Wyndham Street, Central, tel: 2522 3053) is another option.  You could try some of the fabulous men's shaving products, or apply  oils and creams made with soothing natural lavender.   One more thing:  do not use tweezers on ingrown hairs. It will only worsen matters.
