Shutterbugs of all persuasions will find plenty to like with the new 5-megapixel Exilim Z500 digital camera from Casio. The device offers 3X digital zoom, 8.7 megabytes of built-in flash memory, timekeeping functions, microphone, speaker, a Super Life battery that lets you record 500 images on a single charge, and an anti-shake feature that helps minimise image blur due to the movement of the user's hands or the subject. The back of the camera is carefully laid out so buttons and the controller are always within easy reach. Images are viewed on a 2.7-inch liquid crystal display with 640 x 240 pixels. The Z500 automatically adjusts flash brightness when people are located too far from the camera. This helps make subjects that normally might be blacked out brighter and clearer. The Z500 costs $2,980.
