The weather on the day of Disneyland's grand opening is likely to be a little rainy, but the chance of a typhoon is low so far, the Observatory says.
The seven-day weather forecast shows the weather on Monday will be mainly cloudy with occasional showers. Temperatures between 26 and 29 degrees Celsius are expected with up to 95 per cent relative humidity.
While tropical cyclone Khanun is now in the east Philippines, it is expected to move northwest towards Taiwan and Fujian around September 11 and 12. The Observatory's computer forecast also indicates there will be no storms affecting the city before September 15.
A detailed forecast for the next three days will be announced today.
Mainland A-list actresses Zhang Ziyi and Gong Li will be among the celebrities taking part in Monday's opening of Hong Kong Disneyland, according to Xinhua.
Disney has not announced the full guest list for its opening.
