Primary market active as buyers snap up new flats

Property agents believed more than 200 flats in Metro Town at Tseung Kwan O and in Ballagio at Sham Tseng were sold at the weekend and activity on the secondary market was slower due to the focus on the primary market.

Louis Chan Wing-Kit, executive director at Centraline Property Agency, said total sales of property on the primary market in the first week of this month had equalled the total number of flats sold in August. He believed the jump in sales would benefit the market as a whole.
