Interim chief named by Hospital Authority Vivian Wong Taam Chi-woon, one of two directors at the Hospital Authority, has been appointed interim chief executive while the global search continues for a successor to William Ho Shiu-wei. Dr Ho, whose term expires on Monday, will take up the post of consultant (community medicine) the next day. Dr Wong had declared her intention of not applying for the post of chief executive in the recruitment exercise, the authority said. West Kowloon land auction attempt fails The Lands Department has disclosed that an attempt to trigger the auction of a 1.13 hectare residential site in Hoi Fan Road, West Kowloon, failed last month. Two residential sites in the district were successfully triggered for auction early last month. The sale will take place on September 27 when a residential site at Ngau Chi Wan will also be auctioned.
