William Ho Shiu-wei received a tasty farewell gift from Hospital Authority chairman Anthony Wu Ting-yuk - two bottles of red wine, with the possibility of a third later. Mr Wu, famous for his love of wine, presented Dr Ho (left) with two bottles from his collection during a farewell party held by the authority board on Wednesday. 'I gave Dr Ho two bottles of red wine - one from 1984, the year he joined the Hospital Authority. Another is of 1999 vintage, the year he was appointed as [the authority's] chief executive,' Mr Wu said. 'I told him I still owed him one more bottle - of 2005, the year he leaves the post.' Following up on his debut stage performance at the Journalists Association's annual ball in June, where he sang Jamaica Farewell before more than 1,000 guests, Dr Ho sang for board members. This time, he chose a number from local Canto-pop singer George Lam Tze-cheung's Every Night album.
