SonyEricsson J210i: If you are seeking out a simple, no-nonsense handset or tend to lose your mobile phone every couple of months, the J210i is worth a look.

As part of the new generation of mobile phones targeted at the no-frills, entry-level market, the J210i offers a 65,000-colour display and MP3 player (but no memory expansion slot), along with the usual set of wireless data services and gaming support.

It comes in two colours: green and silver. (Price: $780)

Sony CyberShot M2: The follow-up model to Sony's first multifunction twister digital camera retains the swivel design that makes it look more like a phone than a camera and changes the outer finish from matte black to satin silver. The M2 is similar to its predecessor, with the same image quality (5.1 megapixels), video capabilities (VGA-quality at 30 frames per second), 3X optical zoom and 6cm colour display. (Price: to be determined)

Sharp SX833: Placed at the high-end of the handset market, the SX833 upgrades the camera quality in mobile phones to an impressive 3.2 megapixels. It also comes in an all-red package: even the keyboard is red, with white numbers and lettering. While the clamshell design does away with the secondary exterior screen - which is featured on its predecessor (probably to preserve the SX833's red finish) - it has a number of upgrades, including the ability to capture QVGA-quality video. (Price: $5,680)
