Investigations into murder of man in Chai Wan continue

Updated at 6.07pm: Police on Wednesday were continuing their inquiries into the murder of a 22-year-old man found dead in Chai Wan on Monday morning.

Investigations are being carried out by the Regional Crime Unit of Hong Kong Island.

Officers have been examining how many people attacked the victim - whose body was found near Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital at the junction of Tai Tam Road and Chai Wan Road.

A post-mortem examination had revealed the 22-year-old had died from a brain haemorrhage, a police spokeswoman said.

Police on Tuesday arrested two more men, aged 14 and 16, in connection with the case, bringing the total number of arrests to seven.

Police said all the arrested men had been detained overnight on Tuesday for inquiries on Wednesday. Further details about the attack have not yet been released.
