The story headlined 'Japanese man gives $100m to university' on C4 on Friday wrongly stated that the Chinese University had received the most donations qualifying it to receive a maximum $250 million from the University Grant Committee's matching grant scheme. In fact, the University of Hong Kong has raised more than $1 billion, including the donation from the Li Ka Shing Foundation. The Chinese University has raised $455 million since August.
