Police assess the situation after nine men were injured when a kerosene-carrying truck ran out of control and smashed into a security booth in Kwai Chung last night. The men, who were taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital, included two guards, aged 21 and 53, who were in a serious condition last night after being freed from the damaged booth. The truck careered out of control as it left the Wah Tat Industrial Building car park on Wah Sing Street about 6.30pm. An initial investigation found its brakes had malfunctioned, but more tests will be conducted today. Seven of the injured men were later discharged from hospital.
