Kickboxer Marek Boguszewicz claims it took less than one minute for foul play to end his fighting career.
The banker says he intends to sue the World Boxing Council (WBC) to have the result of his fight for the Muay Thai International Heavyweight Greater Asia Championship belt declared void if it does not offer him a public apology and set the result aside.
As it stands, the 'Tiger of Jian Xu', Zhang Qing Jun, won the belt at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Wan Chai on September 9.
Boguszewicz has no problem with the series of well-timed blows from his opponent that sent him crashing to the canvas. It is what happened when he was on the ground that so infuriated him.
'The referee was over me giving me the count when the other guy came across and punched me straight in the nose, breaking it into two pieces,' he said. 'This is an instant disqualification anywhere in the world.'
The English-born fighter claims the damage to the membranes is so bad he will need plastic surgery if he wants to breathe properly again.
