COULD the people in charge of censorship at TVB Pearl please explain why graphic scenes of underwater birth can be shown on 20/20 but at the slightest hint of anything sexual at much later times of the evening, programmes and films are chopped to pieces. In late October one of the English channels showed the film Skin Deep. The original of which contains a very funny scene involving luminous condoms. Needless to say this scene was wiped out. With the topic of AIDS and safe sex on everybody's mind surely a scene such as this would do good rather than bad by making the subject easier to talk about and not such a taboo matter. If the viewers are no longer allowed control of the best censorship tool invented, the on/off switch, could the censorship people please get their act together and not be so hypocritical.
