I agree with Thomas about Exercise 1. The answers are obvious. The sentences follow the basic grammar rule for simple present tense: subject and verb agreement. Besides the subject, there are other clues in the sentence, for example, the time reference: every night, every morning and every day. Also, if the sentence starts with 'he' or 'she', then I know I should add 's' to the verb.
