Young Post's grammar exercises won't kill you. Thomas and Mandie survived.

I agree with Thomas about Exercise 1. The answers are obvious. The sentences follow the basic grammar rule for simple present tense: subject and verb agreement. Besides the subject, there are other clues in the sentence, for example, the time reference: every night, every morning and every day. Also, if the sentence starts with 'he' or 'she', then I know I should add 's' to the verb.

I find Exercise 2 difficult. The first time I read the sentences, I missed the words near the end of the sentences that needed to be corrected. For example, in question 3, I almost forgot to change the word 'fell'. Other than that, the exercise is fairly straightforward. Exercise 1 is easy. I didn't have any problem with it.
