British cosmetics company Lush recently launched new products in Hong Kong - the Godiva Shampoo and Conditioning Bar ($95) and Hybrid Shampoo and Conditioning Bar ($95).
Company founder Mark Constantine is a hair nutritionist with more than 30 years of experience in hair care, which is why Lush has a large range of hair care products including shampoos, conditioners, treatments and henna products.
The Godiva bar, suitable for normal to dry hair, has a strong jasmine scent and contains macadamia nut oil, ylang ylang oil and hibiscus and gardenia extracts to make hair soft and shiny.
The Hybrid bar is scented with a scalp softening natural liquorice fragrance and is suitable for normal to oily hair. Ingredients include charcoal, which removes dirt and chemical residues, and lemon and sesame oil to make hair shine.
These patented two-in-one shampoo and conditioning bars do not need extra chemicals and preservatives to stabilise them. Users need only wet their hair and rub the bar across the scalp, working in the lather.
The bars are convenient to carry while travelling or for trips to the gym. The Blue Skies Bubble Bar ($59) is scented with patchouli, frankincense and cinnamon.
