Korean cosmetics company wants PR executive

Amore Pacific, a Korean-based international cosmetics and personal care group, is seeking a public relations executive to promote the company's Laneige skincare and cosmetics ranges in Hong Kong.

The position includes such responsibilities as assisting in press release writing, preparation and distribution, assisting in the creation and preparation of press kits and helping with the co-ordination of regular public relations events across Hong Kong.

'Experience is not key for this position, in fact, we are ideally looking for a young, high-calibre, fresh graduate in marketing and communications or a related discipline,' said Elsa Lee, Amore's human resources manager. 'The position requires someone who is quick and creative in coming up with new ideas and is able to translate them into action and results through good co-ordination and paying attention to every single detail in the process,' she said.

Certain skills, however, are prerequisites including having an eye for detail and creative flair. Candidates should also be confident, energetic and enjoy meeting and interacting with people.

'Candidates should be independent thinkers with the ability to work effectively on their own or as part of a team,' Ms Lee said.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese are necessary.

'Applicants should also be able to demonstrate strong organisational skills, with the ability to co-ordinate multiple projects at the same time,' Ms Lee said.

She said that most PR executives gain job satisfaction from being able to see evidence of their efforts, either through a campaign that proves successful or through increased sales.

Ms Lee also said that the position offers excellent opportunities for those who are new to PR but who have a keen interest in developing their skills because they would learn through the experience and receive on-the-job-training.
