If you have to write in the classroom, you had better get on with it. But, if you are going to write at home, get yourself organised before putting pen to paper. Doctors tell us it is good to have a sleep routine every night, and the same applies to writing. We are all different so we cannot tell you what works for you, but here are some ideas to think about.
Where do you like to write?
Virginia Woolf, a famous English writer, always wrote standing up at a special, high desk. Many people may not like that, but make sure you are comfortable.
Are you going to work on your computer or use paper?
Make sure you have all the things you need: a writer's resources, such as pens, dictionary and reference books.
What time of day brings out the best in you?
