Experian nets AXA unit deal
Experian, a specialist information technology provider to the financial services industry, has won a contract to boost data analysis at insurance giant AXA's Greater China operations.
Following successful test deployment in Hong Kong, AXA China Region Insurance intends to launch British firm Experian's iMarketer analytics software across its business this year.
'With the Greater China economy on the upswing, the region's financial sector has never been more upbeat,' said John Harker, managing director for strategic business development at Experian Asia-Pacific. 'Now, more than ever, key insurance players are expected to respond even more quickly to change, or be left behind.'
AXA China Region Insurance, part of AXA group with US$95.3billion in revenues last year, said it needed advanced market analytics to mine large volumes of customer information faster and produce market data analyses to respond to market and customer changes.
Alan Davies, assistant general manager of marketing at AXA China Region Insurance, said: 'iMarketer provides our sales and marketing teams the quickest route to understanding our customers' needs and behavioural changes, raising overall productivity and optimising returns from our marketing investment.'
