Do you know the difference between 'comply' and 'compile'?

Comply (v) - to conform or to obey

If you comply with a request, order, or set of rules, you do what you are required or expected to do.

Compile (v) - to assemble or to gather

When you compile something, you produce it by collecting and putting together a variety of things.

A spokesman for Cable TV said it would comply with the new policy if it is passed but asserted a lot of its acquired programmes from channels including AXN and Discovery already have such statements.
