The ambience

The owners would like you to feel that this is what a fancy restaurant in Cairo was like in the 1950s and 1960s. The interior is certainly unique for Hong Kong. The booths are cosy, and the shisha corner intimate.

Who to bring

Friends who are not shy to try something different. They should be prepared to dance with the resident belly dancer and puff away on the hookah.

Turn-ons

Most, if not all, of the dishes here are turn-ons. We especially enjoyed the halloumi (pan-friend goat cheese) served with a salad and fatta (succulent braised lamb leg served with rice vermicelli and moistened Baladi bread).

Turn-offs

The staff often forget who ordered what.

The extras

The only restaurant in town with regular belly-dancing performances.
