TEACHING KIDS the importance of money management has never been easier.
The first-ever financial education comic book, launched by Citigroup Foundation in association with the Learning Society, is aimed at teaching the basics of money to youngsters in an entertaining way.
Atul Malik, country business manager of Citibank Hong Kong said teaching children the value of money should start at an early age.
'We all know it's not easy to get children to sit still and listen to important matters.
'Financial education is difficult to teach, so we made it fun for students to learn about the concepts of saving and budgeting,' Mr Malik said.
In this pilot launch in Hong Kong, 20,000 copies of the book, called The Adventures of Agent Penny, featuring Will Power, will be distributed to upper primary students aged 10 to 12 in the next few months.
Another 100 copies will be donated to public libraries.
