HANDICAPPERS anywhere are not noted for their generosity, but connections of the John Moore-trained Parkview Fame can have no reason to complain about the treatment the sprinter received after his last-start winning effort.

For the rest of us, it may be best to simply follow along and bet the five-year-old in the opening event at Happy Valley tonight.

Parkview Fame, who appeared something of a moody customer last season, put whatever woes he may have had safely behind him when literally demolishing a Class Three field over tonight's short sprint on the turf on October 20.

It was an excellent speed performance from Parkview Fame, who flew from the gates and never remotely looked like being headed. He was three and a quarter lengths clear of Silent Majority on the line.

It certainly showed Parkview Fame in a fresh and distinctly attractive light but, despite the authority of that win, he has not been unduly punished.

In fact, Parkview Fame has gone up four pounds which does make him look an interesting bet in this 10-runner opener over course and distance.

Naturally, not all supposedly handicapped ''good things'' oblige, but Parkview Fame ran his best time in demolishing his last-start opponents and it is a better time than anything else in this field.
