Action star Jackie Chan gets up close and personal with Brazilian dancers at the opening of the Lan Kwai Fong Carnival. Imbued with the Rio street carnival spirit, hundreds of party dwellers descended on Central last night. To give the crowd a taste of the world's most famous party, the narrow streets gave way to parades of scantily dressed dancers, live African drums, jugglers and acrobats. About 80 booths and stalls are offering everything from snacks to beer, tattoos to T-shirts and caps to earrings. Organisers expect up to 70,000 to attend. The annual event has been given extra spice, with eight bartenders competing in the city's first 'flair-tending' championship. The fun runs from noon to midnight today and until 10pm tomorrow.
