Name: Steven Lam Tsz-fung School: St Joseph's College Grade: Form One Sport: Golf Achievements: Steven, 12, won his first junior championship at the age of nine, and made his first hole-in-one the same year. He has won more than 20 championships and runner-up titles in the past few years. But Steven's most impressive results have come this year - he won the Esprit Junior Series, Kau Sai Chau Junior Open, Hong Kong Junior Open, Hong Kong Junior Close and the Angela Leung Championship (champion and overall champion, including a record eight-under-par 64 over 18 holes). Soundbite: 'I want to learn to be more patient so I can break my own records. I'd love to be able to meet and compete with more overseas junior golfers in the future.' From his coach: 'Steven Lam was the youngest player ever to be promoted to the men's practice squad when he was 11 years old. We have always pushed him to a higher level of competition and he has always risen to the challenge,' Brad Schadewitz said. 'Steven's performance in this summer's competitions will have a huge impact on our younger squad members, and at only 12 years old, he is already a role model for the future stars to look up to.' Ambitions: Steven is aiming to win the prestigious Junior World Golf Championship and the Asia-Pacific Championship. The latter will be staged in Hong Kong in 2007 when he will be 14. He hopes he can bring more glory to his school as well as Hong Kong. Ultimately, his dream is to win one of the world's four major golf tournaments - the US Masters, British Open, US Open and the US PGA Championship.
