Yes. I am working now, but when I was in secondary school, I took some courses, mainly maths and English, at a private tutorial centre. I had three to four lessons a week. It cost more than $1,000 a month. I think the lessons were quite effective because they focused on the HKCEE syllabus. I sat the exam twice and I thought the tutorials helped me improve a little the second time.

No. Not many of my friends go to private tutorial schools. My academic results are not very good, but I don't think taking tutorial courses will really help. They are very expensive, too. Luckily my parents never push me to attend tutorial lessons.  I guess it would also be difficult to attend more classes after school.

No. I graduated from Form Five about two years ago. My academic results were poor because I did not like studying at all. I think even if I had attended private tutorial lessons, things would not have changed much. If I were a hard-working student, I would not need to attend tutorial lessons at all. Also, I hate those centres which promote their teachers like entertainers. They are too commercial and not the ideal places for some serious work.

Yes, when I was studying in Form Four and Form Five. I am working now. I took many tutorial lessons, including English, maths, physics, chemistry and biology. It cost several thousand dollars a month. The lessons were more useful and practical than  those at school. I always played or slept during lessons in school but listened much more attentively at the private tutorial school.

No. My academic performance was not too bad in secondary school, but I wasn't outstanding either. I did not think I needed to take more lessons after school. Also, my parents never asked me to attend a private tutorial centre. I don't like those centres which promote their teachers like idols. I think they only want publicity.  Their quality is not guaranteed.
