Best-selling 2002 album Songs About Jane made Maroon 5 one of the hottest rock outfits in US. Their sound - a rock-fuelled version of Stevie Wonder - blends funky rhythms with soul. Good bands are measured by their live performances, and in Friday the 13th, Maroon 5 offers a polished concert performance of their catchy tunes. The double CD/DVD set was recorded in Santa Barbara, California on May 13 this year. The set list includes the funky Through With You and hit singles Harder to Breathe and This Love. The show ends with the band's most popular tune, She Will Be Loved, which begins with singer Adam Levine making an emotional call to the audience to sing along. A video of the concert and behind-the-scenes footage is included in the DVD. Maroon 5 - the reincarnation of failed '90s band Kara's Flowers - are hardly unique, but they deserve respect and credit for their hard work and professionalism.
