Hong Kong team's Porsche 996 GT3 takes a corner behind a Ferrari, as Matthew Marsh and Darryl O'Young finish fourth in their class and 10th overall after surviving a crash a few laps before the finish.
O'Young put the car in the gravel when his brakes failed with about seven laps to go but the Noble Group-GruppeM Racing team still managed to get the car back on track to finish the race and complete one of their best finishes this year. Marsh and O'Young finished three laps behind GT2 winners Marc Lieb and Mike Rockenfeller of GruppeM Racing.
The Hong Kong team started 15th before finishing strongly and improving their final position despite O'Young's crash less than three minutes before the GLPK Racing team of Bert Longin, Anthony Kumpen and Mike Hezemans completed victory for the Corvette C5R in the GT1 category.
Marsh and O'Young were competing in their first race together since last month's Nurburgring 1,000km race when a crash sent the team down the order after they had been expecting a strong second place in their class.
Marsh and O'Young had qualified fifth in their class during qualifying and were confident of a good race, saying that everything had looked good in qualifying.
